Individual Counseling

Individual Therapy 

I provide individual therapy to adults and children, ages 12 and up. Please note that at least one legal guardian must be present with minors under 18 years of age during the intake session. Other arrangements may be established for remaining sessions between the guardian, client, and therapist. 

Why Is Therapy Helpful?

Individual therapy is a journey between a therapist and client- rapport and trust are imperative for each client's progress. People may seek therapy for help with issues that are hard to face alone. It can increase self-awareness, healthy coping strategies, and help us in challenging our own thoughts and behaviors. 

When Is It Best To Seek Therapy? 

It could be time to seek therapy if an issue causes distress or interferes with your daily life. Distress can mean negative thoughts, feelings, behaviors, or even a bodily sensation such as pain or fatigue. It may be best to seek therapy if you notice negative, recurrent patterns; are often unhappy, feel overwhelmed or hopeless about issues in your life.
